Campaign Focus: Establishing an English government and ending regionalisation.

(One England, One Voice protecting working conditions)

England needs its own government to ensure that workers’ rights are properly protected and tailored to the specific economic, social, and legal conditions faced by people in England. At present, many decisions affecting workers within England, such as employment law, public sector pay, health provision and Trade Union rights are made by a centralised UK government that does not prioritise the needs of the taxpayer in England. This is while Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland have devolved governments with the power to stand up for their own workers.

An English government could set fairer standards on wages, working conditions, and job security, reverse anti-union legislation, and ensure that workers within England are not left behind by policies made without democratic accountability to the people most affected.

Ending regionalisation and creating a national English government is essential for protecting workers across all sectors and counties of England with the strength and clarity they deserve.
